Confirmation is the sacrament that seals the candidate with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the sacramental character (an indelible mark on the soul that never goes away) to become an ardent defender of the faith.

During the process of preparation for this sacrament, the students are required to complete Community Service Hours and study the scriptures at Sunday Mass.

As of 2019, we are following the "restored order" of the sacraments of initiation in line with Bishop Paprocki's directions for the diocese. That is, Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Communion should be received in that order, representing our journey from birth (Baptism), growing up and journeying through life (Confirmation), to heaven (Communion with God forever).

Under the new schema, 2nd graders will receive first penance, and 3rd graders will be confirmed and receive first holy Communion at the same Mass at the Cathedral (Announcement from May 2021).
